As artificial intelligence (AI) usage grows, we are keen to exemplify and encourage, responsible and ethical use. This forms a key part of our training, adoption advice and how we approach AI internally.
We focus on ‘human-centred’ or a ‘human in the loop’ approach – seeing AI as tools to assist not replace humans.
1. Prioritise how AI works for people, focusing on how it can be their assistant.
2. Always remain accountable for the work we do using AI.
3. Be transparent about how we use AI, internally and externally.
4. Protect the privacy of our clients and stakeholders.
5. Ensure our use or AI technology is inclusive and considers the inherent biases.
6. Highlight the risks and limitations of AI tools, knowing when not to use them.
AI evolves constantly, so we regularly review our approach. As a small business, this is done dynamically.
