Our new Charity AI Power Up programme is designed to help charities move from exploring AI tools to using them confidently and ethically, freeing up resources to focus on your mission.
Key team members join a live training session to explore how charities are using AI, choosing the right AI tools, and learning how to create a simple plan and policy.
Put the learning into practice to identify quick wins and refine your charity’s approach. We’ll provide a pack of resources, including a draft AI policy, and be on hand to advise through a 1-2-1 session.
With priority areas agreed, practical training sessions will provide essential skills for safe and effective AI use. From responsible AI use to building your own AI assistant, your whole team will be able to sign up for relevant online workshops.
Caroline Broadway developed the programme based on experience working in the charity sector and from training many different charities. Formerly a Fundraising and Communications Director, she remains actively involved as a volunteer.
With a non-technical background Caroline provides practical and relevant examples using straightforward AI tools. Her hands-on experience training and consulting on AI adoption has helped shape the programme for charities with busy teams.
Caroline is committed to safe and ethical AI use, and is a certified AI Governance Practitioner.

The cost per charity is £595 (no VAT). This includes over 10 hours of live training, tailored 1-to-1 support, an AI planning pack with a draft policy, and a prompt pack for each Power Up workshop.
This programme is priced to be accessible for small and medium-sized charities and is only available to registered charities. It’s offered at a significantly reduced rate - for example, we usually charge £225 per person for a 6-hour online small group course.
Please get in touch with Caroline if you can't find an answer to your question or would like to talk through if the programme is for you.
There are no minimum requirements for IT skills to join the programme. An advantage of new AI tools is that you don't need to be techie.
We welcome application from charities at an early stage in their AI journey - including wanting to get started.
The Kickstart training session will give you information about common AI tools and important considerations. The programme is designed to support a charity using a generalist AI tool like Microsoft 365 Copilot or ChatGPT.
When the charity looks at its initial plan you'll be able to work out who needs a paid licence. The majority of the training will use features available on Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat (included with Business Office 365) or a free ChatGPT account.
The train your own AI assistant workshop does require a paid licence / account - as the functions we'll be using are restricted. We'd suggest budgeting for at least one paid licence (approx. £20 - £25 per user per month).
The programme is significantly discounted to make it accessible to small and medium charities - as Caroline is keen to support the sector. The content is also tailored, so it wouldn't be suitable for most other organisations.
There is no size limit. The programme was designed for charities from 5 - 50ish people, as likely to have a mix of roles who will benefit from the training on offer. For larger charities, you may find that the training is more relevant for certain roles.
We work on a minimum of five charities and will accept up to ten charities. Each charity receives an individual 1-2-1. We restrict the number of attendees on some elements of the training, where it will support better learning.
