Time saved

Sector: Manufacturing
Size: Large (over 250 employees)

Training location: Coventry / Online

Main tool: Microsoft 365 Copilot (free)


The situation: The MD was an active AI user and wanted to see how it could improve efficiency in the office and commercial teams.  


What we did: 

  • Shadowed each team to map where AI could save time
  • Presented an AI roadmap and tool recommendations to the directors
  • Drafted the AI policy with the MD and HR
  • Rolled out Copilot training across operations, sales, marketing and finance


What happened next: 50+ people trained across the office-based teams. Finance saved several hours a week on a single task. AI is being used for client pitches, translation of materials, meeting notes and internal reporting. 

Potential realised

Sector: Professional Services
Size: Medium (50-250 employees) 

Training location: Birmingham / Online

Main tool: Microsoft 365 Copilot (free) / ChatGPT


The situation: The MD saw AI's potential but was concerned about reputational and data risks from informal use across the business.


What we did:

  • Trained an AI working group to test tools and shape the approach
  • Facilitated an AI roadmap workshop linked to business objectives
  • Briefed the Board and Directors ahead of wider rollout
  • Created an AI knowledge bank and assisted with the internal communications plan
  • Delivered company-wide training covering ethics, work skills and prompting


What happened next: 100+ users trained, with practical skills relevant to their work. Senior team upskilled to support the rollout. Now developing internal champions in each team to advocate for AI and support more advanced use.

Copilot converts

Sector: Professional Services
Size: Small (10-50 employees)

Training location: Warwickshire

Main tool: Microsoft 365 Copilot licence

  

The situation: The Director wanted to upskill key team members on M365 Copilot so they could use it credibly on client sites. 


What we did:

  • Tailored a training course to their roles and priorities
  • Initially booked to deliver one day of training to a small group
  • The session led to Copilot licences being rolled out to the wider team
  • Delivered the course twice more and a mini online session


What happened next: Uptake across the board, with different roles using different features. A few examples were sales proposals, client research, advanced analysis with Excel, creating dummy data sets and preparing project briefs from meeting notes. 

Roadmap to use

Sector:  Membership Organisation
Size: Medium (50-250 employees) 

Training location: London / Online

Main tool: Microsoft 365 Copilot licence


The situation: The Communications Director was leading the AI rollout, having chosen Copilot they wanted training and decided to start with an AI roadmap.


What we did:

  • Ran an initial session to understand the drivers for using AI
  • Designed training and strategy workshops for the initial cohort
  • Delivered live sessions twice, once in person and once online
  • Drafted the AI roadmap based on the team priorities
  • Reviewed their AI policy so it fitted Copilot capabilities


What happened next: The initial cohort are actively using Copilot and meet regular to share learnings as AI champions. Licences and training are rolling out in line with the roadmap, and training has been booked for the remaining staff on the free version. 

Plan for success

Sector: Professional Services
Size: Small (10-50 employees)

The situation: The CEO had a small central team working with hundreds of volunteers and wanted to upskill the team and put a practical AI policy in place.


What we did:

  • Worked with the CEO and senior team to shape the plan
  • Ran three online sessions to suit a dispersed team
  • First session looked at tool options, then built skills with their choice
  • Built a mini AI roadmap from uses identified across the sessions
  • Drafted a practical AI policy for the core team and volunteers


What happened next: The roadmap identified quick wins including drafting reports and commentary, analysing membership data, and speeding up meeting notes. It also covered longer term projects like a membership chatbot.

Sector: Charity and Not-for-profit
Size: Small (10-50 employees)

Training location: Online

Main tool: ChatGPT


The situation: The IT manager wanted entry level AI training on a limited budget, tailored to their charity and reinforcing their new AI policy.


What we did: 

  • Scoped quick wins with the CEO and IT manager
  • Shared prompt sheets in advance to let attendees follow activities live
  • Delivered an online workshop for the whole charity including Trustees


What happened next: Built a solid foundation for the whole team. More advanced sessions planned once their new IT systems are in place.

Improving robotic reports

Sector: Charity and Not-for-profit
Size: Medium (50-250 employees)

Training location: Online

Main tool: Microsoft 365 Copilot (free) / Microsoft 365 Copilot licence


The situation: The Head of Operations wanted to train the team and reinforce their AI policy, dealing with niggles like AI phrases in reports.


What we did:

  • Supported their bid for grant funding with a tailored proposal
  • Identified their main challenges and opportunities
  • Ran an online workshop for managers focused on writing with AI and safe use
  • Trained the SLT on advanced Copilot features including building an agent


What happened next: Managers saw the benefit of using Copilot to keep data safe and learned how to use AI as an assistant. The senior team have Copilot licences to help them juggle busy workloads, including an AI agent that checks the annual report against brand guidelines.
